Connie Fae, 28 Owner and Apprentice Trainer Inherited Highgrove Thoroughbred's from her deceased grandfather, Geoff Fae. Connie had a strong horsey background, but was a competitor in english disciplines despite growing up around racehorses. She is a fast learner and has a natural knack for picking good horses, but relies heavily on the more experienced Leo Turner when it comes to training. Connie see's the good in every horse, has a soft spot for the sweethearts and prefers to leave the challenging horses to Leo. Quiet and humble in nature, Connie is a reserved person who is easy to get along with but generally avoids the bustle of the spotlight. |
Leo Turner, 27 Manager and Head Trainer Employed by Geoff Fae as a groom when just 16, Leo developed a natural skill for training thoroughbreds and quickly became Geoff's apprentice. He is now the manager of Highgrove and head trainer. A natural redhead, Leo is stubborn, fiery, and loves working with horses that are as wild in nature as he is. Mischevious, he loves to upset the competition with the underdog; he will downtalk a horse just for the fun of watching the surprise and frustration it causes. He loves achieving the spotlight and always remains playful in his mannerisms, known for cracking a joke and publicly teasing his friendly rivals. |
Lahni Rawler, 22
Strapper and Exercise Rider Anybody local knows Lahni, for her outspoken, diva-like ways and head-turning beauty. She is perhaps, Connie's opposite in nature and though there's not a lot spoken between the two, there always remains a tension that is perhaps brought about by their extreme differences. Lahni grew up on a neighboring property and used to visit Geoff often as a little girl, she started cleaning stables and progressed to a strapper and exercise rider. As she has aged she's become more distanced from her once-were dreams to be a jockey (she grew a little tall for it anyhow!) and more commonly delves into the world of art-house acting and modelling. There's nothing to hold Lahni in one place for long, and she's often coming and going, somewhat allergic to commitment. However, she's unfased by the antics of difficult horses and is a valued excersize rider when she's available. |
